Post-Master Art & Design - November 2016 / June 2017 - EBABX / Fabrique Pola / Zébra3

At the initiative of EBABX - École d'Enseignement Supérieur d'Art de Bordeaux, in co-construction with La Fabrique Pola and Zébra3, and the cultural actors of the territory, this new device aims to support young artists and designers in promoting the emergence and start of their creative activity.

The emergence of young creation in the region

How to move from a nascent creative activity to the consolidation and realization of a professional artistic project? The main objective of La Grande Évasion is to support the emergence of artists and designers by structuring the activity of young graduates leaving the Bordeaux School of Higher Art Education (and more broadly art schools in New Aquitaine), taking into account the contemporary realities, aspirations and needs of these young professionals.

The Great Escape is organized collectively

The format developed by La Grande Évasion? a system that responds to a double challenge:
- create a framework to promote the success of young artists and designers
- develop a synergy between cultural actors
Join the École d'Enseignement Supérieur d'Art de Bordeaux, the Fabrique Pola (cooperation tool (s) and skills network serving the professional structuring of actors in the visual arts sector. It is also a place of resource in Bordeaux for artistic and cultural initiatives, www. pola.fr); Zébra3 (Conception and organization of exhibitions in France and abroad and development of production residencies on a local and international scale. Zébra3
supports visual artists in the different phases of their project and provides them with its tooled production workshop of 400 m2); and Le Réseau Fusée (network of contemporary art players in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region).


Four graduates selected for this adventure!

In June 2016, the Bordeaux School of Higher Art Education launched its first call for applications from its 2016 DNSEP * graduates in Art and Design, at the end of which, a monitoring committee, made up of the management and iconic cultural actors invited chose four applications in Art and
Design.

In Art:
Hugo Durante and Guillaume Segond are artists, they live and work in Bordeaux. They have been working on sculpture and installation in pairs since 2014.
Kévin Huber is an artist, he lives and works in Bordeaux. A performer, he also works in video, painting and drawing.
Cyrielle Mestrallet is an artist, she lives and works in Bordeaux. She mainly practices installation.

In Design:
Maddy Moret is a designer, she lives and works in Bordeaux. His objects and installations address questions relating to sensitive design.

Tailor-made support, an international dimension

Our young graduates will benefit from:
. a grant of 2000 €
. personalized support by EBABX: an artist-teacher coordinator, professional technical and logistical support provided by EBABX staff
. personalized support by Zébra3 in its workshop, the provision of a workspace and access to its production tools which will allow the realization of their works (production aid grant up to 1000 €), connection with a network of professionals promoting the emergence of a mapping of their project and the identification of resources that can be mobilized
. a complementary tailor-made training program according to the profile of their projects and their individual needs. Support provided by La Fabrique Pola as part of "Open Resources"
. a mobility aid grant of up to € 1,000, to establish contact with a large (international) professional network;
. the realization of an exhibition or publication project at the end of the support year, a project carried by the EBABX which strives to support the visibility and promotion of the work.
